High Purity Liquid Oxygen

Liquid oxygen is of high purity and is suitable for a variety of applications in the medical and industrial fields, ensuring that the product meets industry-specific requirements and standards.

Process description:

Air compressor: Utilizes the latest screw/centrifugal compressors to compress air at low pressure (5-7 bar, 0.5-0.7MPa).

Pre-cooling system: Before the treated air enters the purifier, refrigerant is used to pre-cool the air to about 12 degrees Celsius.

The purifier cleans the air: The air enters the purifier, which contains dual molecular sieve dryers that operate alternately. Molecular sieves separate carbon dioxide and moisture from process air, preventing them from entering the air separation unit.

Cryogenic cooling of air through an expander: the air must be cooled below freezing point to liquefy. A high-efficiency turboexpander is used to provide low-temperature refrigeration and cooling, cooling the air to below -165 to -170 degrees Celsius.

The liquid air is separated into oxygen and nitrogen through the air separation tower: the air entering the low-pressure plate-fin heat exchanger does not contain moisture, oil and carbon dioxide. The air expands through the expander and is cooled to ultra-low temperature in the heat exchanger. We expect to achieve temperature differences as low as 2 degrees Celsius at the hot end of the heat exchanger. When the air reaches the air separation tower, it has been liquefied and separated into oxygen and nitrogen through the process of distillation.

Liquid oxygen is stored in liquid storage tanks: Liquid oxygen is filled into liquid storage tanks, which are connected to the liquefaction unit to form an automatic system. The hose is used to remove liquid oxygen from the tank.

Medium Capacity Liquid Oxygen Plant

 

Liquid oxygen (LOX) units can produce 100% liquid oxygen for storage into liquid storage tanks, or 50% gas and 50% liquid. Our plant equipment features leak-tight stainless steel columns and pulley-type bases for producing high-purity medical and industrial oxygen to fill storage tanks.

 

The LOX unit utilizes atmospheric air and then passes it through a molecular sieve purification system to remove moisture and carbon dioxide from the process air. Next, the latest high-efficiency plate and fin heat exchangers and expanders are used for low-temperature refrigeration to liquefy the air. Liquid air is separated into oxygen, nitrogen and inert gases in the air separation column. Liquid oxygen is stored in liquid storage tanks.
