VPSA Oxygen Gas Plant

VPSA (Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption) oxygen generators use proven technology, utilizing zeolite molecular sieves (ZMS) and a vacuum system for regeneration. In the VPSA process, nitrogen molecules, due to their larger diameter than oxygen molecules, are able to pass through the pores and be adsorbed, thereby achieving oxygen recovery, while nitrogen is adsorbed. The adsorption of nitrogen molecules occurs at low pressure, making the process efficient and suitable for higher flow rates. VPSA-based oxygen plants complete the regeneration process with a vacuum pump to ensure complete regeneration of the ZMS. Adsorption air separation is a cyclic process, with the adsorbent material alternately undergoing three stages of purification, adsorption and desorption.
