How PSA Oxygen Gas Plants Work

Adsorption Process: The air passes through a bed of synthetic zeolite sieves, which selectively adsorb nitrogen while allowing oxygen to flow through. This separation occurs under high pressure, which is a key feature of the PSA technology.
Desorption Phase: Once the zeolite bed is saturated with nitrogen, the pressure is reduced, allowing the nitrogen to be released and the zeolite to regenerate for the next cycle. This two-phase process ensures a continuous supply of high-purity oxygen.
Ozone Generation: The oxygen produced by the PSA plant is then fed into an ozone generator, where it is converted into ozone using electrical discharge or ultraviolet light. This ozone can be used for disinfection, oxidation of contaminants, and other applications.
