Adsorption principle
PSA oxygen generator uses zeolite molecular sieve or lithium molecular sieve as adsorbent. Zeolite molecular sieve is a spherical granular adsorbent with micropores on the surface and inside, which is processed by a special pore treatment process. The diffusion rates of oxygen and nitrogen gas molecules on the surface of the molecular sieve are different. The gas molecules with smaller diameters (O₂) diffuse faster and enter more of the molecular sieve micropores. The gas molecules with larger diameters (N₂) diffuse slower and enter less of the molecular sieve micropores.The difference in the selective adsorption of nitrogen and oxygen by molecular sieves leads to the enrichment of nitrogen in the adsorption phase and oxygen in the gas phase in a short time.
Cycling process
The pressure swing adsorption oxygen generator absorbs and releases oxygen from the air based on the principle of pressurized adsorption and decompression desorption. The compressed air output by the air compressor is first removed from oil, water and dust by the pipeline filter, and then deeply removed from the water by the freeze dryer, removed from oil and dust by the fine filter, and deeply purified by the ultrafine filter.
The purified air enters the A and B adsorption towers equipped with special molecular sieves. When the clean compressed air enters the A tower, N₂ is adsorbed when passing through the molecular sieve, and oxygen flows out from the outlet. After the molecular sieve of tower A is saturated, the pressure is reduced to normal pressure to regenerate the molecular sieve and remove N₂. The two towers alternately adsorb and regenerate to complete the separation of oxygen and nitrogen and continuously produce oxygen, and the whole process is controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC).
