Oxygen Generator For Offshore Demolition
Description
Technical Parameters
Working Principle
Pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology:
It is a common principle of this type of oxygen generator. The equipment is equipped with molecular sieves (usually zeolite molecular sieves) that have selective adsorption capacity for different gases. Compressed air enters the adsorption tower. Under the action of pressure, the molecular sieve preferentially adsorbs impurity gases such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide and water. Oxygen is not easily adsorbed and passes smoothly. It is collected at the outlet of the tower as a high-purity oxygen flow. When the molecular sieve adsorbs impurities to a certain saturation, the impurity gas is desorbed by reducing the pressure in the tower, and the molecular sieve is regenerated to restore the adsorption capacity and prepare for the next round of adsorption separation.
Membrane separation technology:
It is also a common working method. A special gas separation membrane is set in the oxygen generator, which has different permeation rates for different gases. Air containing multiple gases passes through the membrane assembly under pressure. Oxygen passes through the membrane faster because of its small molecules and high activity, while other gases such as nitrogen and carbon dioxide pass through more slowly. Therefore, an oxygen-rich air flow is collected on the permeation side of the membrane to separate oxygen from other gases. This technical equipment has a simple structure, is easy to operate, has no moving parts, and is suitable for stable operation in harsh offshore environments.

Structural Features
.
Corrosion Resistance
Since the offshore environment is humid and has a high salt content, which can easily corrode equipment. The oxygen generator for offshore demolition is usually made of corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel to enhance its durability and stability in the marine environment.
Shock and Vibration Resistance
During offshore operations, ships and platforms are often subject to waves and vibrations. The oxygen generator is equipped with shock and vibration isolation devices such as shock-absorbing springs and damping pads to reduce the impact of vibrations on the equipment and ensure its normal operation.
Compact and Integrated Design
Space on offshore platforms and ships is limited. Therefore, the oxygen generator is designed to be compact and integrated, with components such as filters, air pretreatment systems, oxygen production systems, and control systems integrated into a single unit to save space and facilitate installation and maintenance.

Oxygen Flow: It can usually provide an oxygen flow rate of 1 to 3,000 Nm³/hr, which can meet different oxygen demand requirements in offshore demolition operations, such as supplying oxygen for cutting and welding equipment.
Oxygen Purity: The oxygen purity can reach 80% - 99.5%. High-purity oxygen is beneficial for improving the efficiency and quality of cutting and welding and other operations and reducing the impact of impurities on the process.
Oxygen Pressure: The output oxygen pressure is generally in the range of 0.5 MPa - 1.0 MPa. The appropriate pressure can ensure the normal operation of oxygen-consuming equipment and the smooth transmission of oxygen in the pipeline.

FAQ
1. When the equipment is running at sea, how to ensure the purity of the output oxygen is stable?
The way to ensure the stability of oxygen purity is to rely on advanced control systems. For PSA technology equipment, the system monitors the adsorption of molecular sieves in real time and automatically adjusts the pressure and adsorption cycle; for membrane separation technology equipment, the air intake and oxygen production are regulated according to the pressure difference on both sides of the membrane and the gas permeation to ensure that the oxygen purity meets the standard.
2. Is the installation of the oxygen generator for offshore demolition complicated?
It is not complicated. It adopts a modular design, and each module has a standardized interface. The installer assembles and connects according to the guide, connects to the power supply, air inlet and oxygen output pipeline. The equipment is equipped with detailed installation and commissioning instructions, which can be installed efficiently in a limited space.
3. What is the energy consumption of the oxygen generator?
Energy consumption varies depending on the equipment model and technology. The energy consumption of the generator with advanced technology is controllable. For example, PSA technology equipment optimizes the adsorption process and pressure control, and membrane separation technology equipment focuses on energy saving. Compared with traditional oxygen production, the energy consumption is greatly reduced, which can control the cost of offshore operations.
