Oxygen Generator Working Principle

 

The oxygen generation system comprises key components including an air compressor, dryer, PSA oxygen generator, and booster compressor, each playing a crucial role in the seamless production and distribution of oxygen.

Initial stages involve the compression of ambient air to operational pressure by a screw air compressor. Subsequently, the air is directed through a dryer equipped with filters to eliminate contaminants such as oil, water, and dust. This purified air is then stored in an air tank, ready to supply the PSA generator.

Within the PSA generator, clean compressed air undergoes separation using zeolite molecular sieves housed in adsorption towers. These sieves selectively adsorb nitrogen, allowing oxygen to pass through. Periodically, the adsorbent undergoes regeneration to release impurities, predominantly nitrogen, completing the purification cycle.

The oxygen, now concentrated and purified, accumulates at the top of the absorption tower before being directed to the oxygen storage tank. From here, the oxygen can be filtered and directly connected to hospital pipelines or routed through a booster compressor for pressurization. Pressurized oxygen is then filled into cylinders via the filling ramp, ensuring a steady supply of high-quality oxygen for various applications.
